Come and stay a while.

Make A Difference now for foster families.

Since I first heard about your strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your tender love toward all his devoted ones, my heart is always full and overflowing with thanks to God for you as I constantly remember you in my prayers. I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.
— Ephesians 1:15-17 (TPT)

Pray for One Another

  • Anthony is an active toddler who is ready to be adopted. His foster parent is the only mom he knows, and wants to adopt him. A great-grandmother (75 years old) recently came forward with the intent to adopt. Anthony’s birth mom has regular interactions with the great-grandmother. Pray for God’s will to be done as the courts move forward with their decision for Anthony.

  • Gabriella is an 8-year-old who is overwhelmed by not knowing her future as a foster child who will likely be separated from the other children in her family. After returning from visiting family in her village she was inconsolable at the thought of three different families that want to have her move in with them. Her current foster mom loves her and wants the best for her with whichever part of her family will love her and take care of her. Pray for God's mercy, direction for people making the decisions, and peace for Gabriella in the waiting.

  • Pray for families who have children with attachment, addiction, and mental issues that require them to live in a treatment center or have to move to another home for everyone’s safety and healing. May God speak light into the darkness of their situations as he did in creation.

“For God, who said, ‘Let brilliant light shine out of darkness, is the one who has cascaded his light into us—the brilliant dawning light of the glorious knowledge of God as we gaze into the face of Jesus Christ.’”

  • Pray for foster children who are nine and older who have to decide whether they want to be adopted by a particular family or have a particular guardian. Many children feel that choosing to be a part of another family betrays their birth families, which keeps some children from forever families that love them.

  • Laila is an elementary student who has been in foster care. She is home with her birth mom, who is struggling with mental illness and drug use. Laila is homeschooled and is often left to take care of herself. Laila has said she is lonely and she wants to go to school. She has been falling behind in school with all of the challenges in her life. Please pray for stability for her mom. Both of them need hope and healing that only God, their creator, can give. Please pray that Laila’s mom will allow her grandparents to see her and that she will be allowed to go back to school.

  • Pray for birth families to have hope and courage to do what needs to be done to make their home a safe place for their children.

  • Anna, a young elementary child, suffered from abuse from her mom’s boyfriend which resulted in the death of her little sister. Pray for God’s mercy on Anna and her mom and that they will allow Jesus to comfort them.

Isaiah 61:1-3a prophecies that Jesus will “bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve.”

  • Pray Ephesians 1:8 over everyone who loves or makes decisions for foster children, “Superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.” (TPT)
